These staff have indepth knowledge and experience of organisational change, eLearning and eCommerce which is based on national and international consultancies, practical experience, formal research and years of customer support.

Director and Consultant.

He has extensive and in-depth experience and expertise in international consulting and project management in eLearning, and has worked extensively in eCommerce.

At Massey University in New Zealand, he was a senior lecturer in Educational New Media and computer studies, as well as project director for eLearning.

In October 2000 he was awarded a Ph.D by the University of Victoria, Wellington, New Zealand in the management of eLearning in tertiary education. He previously completed a B.Comm (Honours) at the University of South Africa in 1995 in Strategic Management and Information Management and a B.Comm in Mathematics and Economics at the University of Stellenbosch in 1978.

He is currently based in Botswana on contract with the University of Botswana to ensure the wide, effective and appropriate use of educational technologies at the university, and in particular eLearning.

He co-developed Computer Aided Learning programmes for database end-users for a number of Universities and Polytechnics as well as for a large telecommunications supplier. He worked in the IT Industry as Systems Development Manager and later as Head: Management Information.


Wilhelm Wilhelm Strumpfer

Director and Consultant.


Wilhelm manages Globe SA and at present he is its only full-time staff member. The services of contractors and consultants are acquired as needed.

He has more than 15 years experience in developing computer based training systems, courseware and multimedia systems, using Quest, Basic, Pascal, C, HTML and Delphi. Specialized user interfaces and computer based simulations are his primary interests.

In South Africa he was contracted by the Unit for Educational Technology, University of Pretoria to co-develop multimedia software. The Advtech group contracted him to design computer based training systems for Sanlam, Metropolitan Life, University of Western Cape and Volkswagen SA., Andersen Consulting, amongst others.

Other SA clients are Van Zyl, Rudd and Associates, Textek (CSIR Textile Technology), Skillwise (Pty) Ltd), Rand Afrikaans University department Humen Resource Management.

In the UK he is is regularly contracted by Synergy Multimedia (amongs others, systems for Plymouth University Business School, Welcome Pharmaceutics, Plymouth Dome Museum and Maxim Training). He Co-developed personnel evaluation and feedback systems with ACAL Limited for BP Oil (UK), National Grid and Scottish Enterprise.

Wilhelm has worked with Globe-Online in developing several web sites for New Zealand, Australian and USA customers.

He has a B.Comm from the University of Port Elizabeth.
